East Coast Heavy Events Championships Athletes:
1: Stephen Henry – Sydney NSW
Stephens has been a strong performer in amateur competitions for a number of years in both Strongman and highland games.
This is Stephens second East Coast Championships
2. Aaron Monks – Sydney NSW
Aaron has been one of the top ranked Australian Highland games athletes for a number of years. He has competed successfully through
Australia, New Zealand and Asia. Aaron is the quiet assassin and one to watch for the East Coast
3. Lance Holland Keen – Southern Sydney NSW formerly of England
Lance is a full time Emergency Doctor and also ringside doctor for PCYC NSW and professional and World title fights.
Lance has competed in Strongman and Highland Games since 2008.
Tartan Warrior since 2008.
Travelled to Scotland in 2008 and lifted the Menzies, Inver and Dinnie stones.

4. Craig Reid – Newcastle NSW
He has been one of Australia’s top Athletes in Strongman and Highland games for over 15 years.
Craig has competed internationally through Australia, New Zealand, Asia and Scotland.
Craig has won a number of East Coast, Australian and South Pacific Championships in the Highland Games.
5. Pat Hellier – New Zealand
Pat is 20 times the New Zealand Champion in the Highland heavy events.
Pat has been to the Highland Games World Championships 13 times making his the most capped athlete.
Pat is one of the top ten athletes in the world in this sport. Pat will be the odds on favourite for this event.
Pat has just finished the 2012 Scottish Highland Games Season.
6 Morgan Westmorland – Blue Mountains NSW
Morgan has been involved in strength for a number of years. He has developed into a top strongman and Highland Games athlete.
Morgan has been training hard for this event and will challenge for the title. Morgan was 5th at the 2011 Australian Championships
7. Lee Mitchell – Sydney NSW
Lee has been involved in strength sports and highland games for a number of years.
Lee has competed throughout Australia and won the Bundanoon locals competition on numerous occasions.
8. Rob Mitchell - Wollongong NSW
Rob has competed in strength sports and highland games for a number of years, this is Robs first competition at the Championship level.
9. James Grahame - Melbourne Victoria Via Scotland.
James hails from Scotland and recently immigrated to Melbourne.
James has an extensive strength sports history having won the u/105kg Scottish Strongest Man competition.
James has recently ventured into the Highland Games.
10. Richard Hozjan - Newcastle NSW
Richard is Australia’s number 1 in IPF power lifting.
Richard holds multiple titles and records and has competed internationally and at world Championships for a number of years.
Richard started highland Games in 2011 and is progressing well.
